Rosa Centifolia

[rosa cen-ti-fol-ee-ah]

Often labelled the ‘Provence Rose’, this Dutch derived hybrid is a mainstay in the French city of Grasse — commonly dubbed, ‘the perfume capital of the world’. Highly revered for its simplistic and singular fragrance, its signature scent is described as being fresh and clear, with slight hints of honey. It possesses the classic rose scent.

It is a primary source for the production of many rose oils, and as such, is a common cultivar in perfumery.
