Tiare

[tee-ar-eh]

A variety of gardenia that is native to Tahiti. Tiare possesses signature white flowers that hold memorable and inviting aromas. The scent is best characterized as being a gardenia’s scent with tropical flairs and added nuances. The aroma is reminiscent of suntan lotions and moisturizers — due to the presence of tiare in these very products. A common product in the world of fragrances is monoi, which is created by shredding and stripping tiare in a refined coconut oil mixture, which is then followed up by the extraction process of enfleurage. When added to a composition, tiare is transformed into a powerful and overarching floral note, that infuses qualities of sweetness and exotic awakenings into blends.
